The Domains tab is where you add, view, check, and remove monitored domains. Each row shows a domain, its current status, the assigned group, and the last-checked timestamp.
Domain checks query domain-based blacklists (DBLs), which target the sending domain rather than the source IP. Common DBLs include Spamhaus DBL, SURBL, and URIBL.

Add a domain

Open the Domains tab

Inside the project, open Tools → Blacklist Monitoring → Domains.

Add the domain

Choose Add domain, then enter:
  • Domain (example.com, mail.example.com). Bare hostnames only; no http:// or path.
  • Group (optional). Assigning a group applies its check frequency and notification settings to this domain.

Save

Save. The domain enters monitoring with Pending status until the first check runs.

Domain validation

Spotzee accepts standard hostname formats. Enter just the hostname (no scheme, no path, no port).

Edit a domain’s group

You can change which group a domain belongs to without removing it.

Find the domain

Locate the row in the Domains tab.

Open the row menu

Use the row’s overflow action to pick Edit.

Change the group

Pick a different group from the dropdown, or clear it to make the domain ungrouped. Save.

Run a check on demand

Domains are checked automatically on their group’s schedule. Force an immediate check when you want to verify a fix or investigate a specific listing.

Choose Check now

Pick Check now. The domain is queued for an immediate check.

Wait for the result

The status updates within a few minutes. Refresh the page to pull the latest state.

Domain statuses

Same four statuses as IPs: Hover the Blacklisted count to see the specific DBLs where the domain is listed.

Remove a domain

Open the row menu

Use the row’s overflow action.

Delete

Pick Delete. Confirm at the prompt.
Deletion stops monitoring for that domain and removes the record. The 30-day history removes too.

What’s checked

For each domain, Spotzee queries every DBL included in your configured Domain RBL type (Standard or Comprehensive, set under Settings). A listing on any one of them flips the domain to Blacklisted and triggers an alert. Like IP checks, domain checks are purely DNS-based and don’t touch your sending infrastructure.
