Three different actions, three different outcomes. Pick the right one for what you’re trying to do.

Disconnect

What it does. Pauses the integration. Webhooks stop firing into Spotzee, scheduled syncs stop running. Your already-imported customer records, orders, and product data stay in Spotzee. Use it when:
  • You’re temporarily pausing syncs (during a store migration, a Shopify plan change, or a long debug session).
  • You’re troubleshooting and want to stop new data flowing while you investigate.
  • You’re not sure whether you want to fully remove the integration but want to stop new activity.
How:
1

Open the store card menu

Inside the project, open Integrations and find the store card.
2

Choose Disconnect

Use the card menu and pick Disconnect. Confirm at the prompt: “Are you sure you want to disconnect? You can reconnect later.”
After disconnect, the status badge flips to Disconnected (grey). The store remains in your integration list. Reconnect later from the same menu when you’re ready.

Delete

What it does. Removes the integration and its Shopify-specific orders, checkouts, products, collections, sync settings and logs. Shopify fields are cleared from Spotzee contacts, but the contacts themselves remain. The integration card disappears from your Integrations page. Use it when:
  • You’re permanently moving away from a store (closing the store, switching platforms).
  • You connected the store to the wrong project and want to remove its integration data.
  • The store has been replaced by a different Shopify store at the same domain (rare, but happens with rebrands).
Be careful. Delete is destructive and irreversible. If you might want this data back, disconnect instead and decide later. How:
1

Open the store card menu

Use the card menu on the store you want to remove.
2

Choose Delete

Pick Delete. Confirm the destructive action prompt explicitly. Spotzee describes what gets removed before you confirm.
3

Wait for cleanup

Large stores can take time to clear Shopify-specific records. The card disappears once cleanup completes.
To restore Shopify-specific records after deletion, connect the store again and run an initial sync. Existing Spotzee contacts remain separate from that new integration.

Reconnect

What it does. Refreshes the OAuth grant. Use it when status shows Reconnect required (amber badge) or the integration reports missing scopes. Sync settings, customer list assignment, history, and existing data are all preserved. Only the OAuth credentials change. Use it when:
  • Status is Reconnect required.
  • You uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotzee app in Shopify.
  • The integration reports missing scopes.
  • The connecting Shopify user’s permissions changed.
How:
1

Open the store card menu

Use the card menu and pick Reconnect.
2

Re-approve on Shopify

You’re sent through the same OAuth flow as the initial connect. Re-approve permissions on Shopify.
3

Land back in Spotzee

On approval, the store flips back to Connected (green) and syncs resume.

Picking the right action

A simple decision tree:
  • Want to stop syncing temporarily? Disconnect. Reversible.
  • Want to fix an OAuth or scope issue? Reconnect. No data loss.
  • Want to permanently remove the integration and its Shopify-specific data? Delete. Irreversible.
When in doubt, disconnect. You can always come back.
