What is synthetic finance data generator?
A synthetic finance data generator creates test data for account names, account numbers, amounts, currencies, BIC values, IBAN values, card validation fields, masked numbers and transaction text. It gives QA teams and developers financial test data that looks structured enough for product workflows without using real financial credentials.
The tool above sends your count, locale, seed, method and finance-specific options to the Spotzee Extended API, then renders the returned finance[] records. Generated values are test fixtures only and are not usable financial credentials. Read the in-depth finance data generator guide for endpoint options, response fields and fixture design notes.
02 · Process
How it works
- 1Enter a count.Type the number of finance records to generate, from
1to100. - 2Choose a method.Pick
profilefor expanded finance records or one field method such asamount, iban, creditCardNumber, currencyortransactionDescription. - 3Set finance options.Use account, amount, BIC, Bitcoin, card, IBAN, masked-number and PIN options when those fields matter to the fixture.
- 4Generate records. The server validates the count, seed and option formats, forwards a form-encoded request to
/generic/data/generate/financeand renders the returned records.

Why it matters
Real account numbers, card fields and payment records should not be copied into development databases, demos, support screenshots or automated test logs. A finance data generator gives teams account, payment, currency and transaction-shaped values while keeping production financial data out of lower-control environments.
Financial interfaces also have awkward display branches. Amounts need symbols and decimal coverage, IBAN fields can be formatted or plain, masked numbers need suffix rules, and transaction descriptions can be long. Financial fixture data lets you test those states without hand-writing brittle sample rows.
04 · Use cases
Common ways to use this tool
- Payment form testing. Use it as a financial test data generator for account, card, IBAN and amount fields in payment or billing flows.
- Currency display coverage. Generate currency objects, codes, names, numeric codes and symbols for internationalised UI tests.
- Repeatable QA datasets. Set a numeric seed so the same finance data generator output can be reproduced after a failing test.
- Card validation fixtures. Use the credit card test data generator methods for card-number, issuer and CVV-shaped test fields.
- Transaction list demos. Generate transaction descriptions, transaction types and masked account values for list, table and export previews.
05 · Interpretation
What to check in the result
- Count outside
1to100. The API accepts up to 100 finance records per request. For larger datasets, call the endpoint multiple times. - Wrong method for the fixture. Use
profilewhen you need account, amount, currency and transaction fields together, or a field method when you only need one value type. - Invalid amount range.
amountMinandamountMaxmust be numeric values from0to1000000, and the minimum must be less than or equal to the maximum. - Invalid length option.
accountNumberLength, maskedNumberLengthandpinLengthmust be whole numbers within the documented range. - Invalid IBAN country.
ibanCountryCodemust be a two-letter uppercase country code, such asDE, or left blank. - Expecting real credentials. Generated finance values are synthetic sample data. Do not use them as live bank details, usable cards, customer accounts or payment credentials.
